OUR AUTUMN HAIRCUT TRENDS
1. Choppy Fringe and Short Bob.
Originally appearing in the 1920’s on Louise Brooks, this used to be called the Shingle Bob, but thanks to Milla Jovavich in the film Fifth Element, it has now become known as the Sci-Fi Bob.
Short and above the jaw line with a choppy short fringe, our Creative Director Brixton has brought this look back into 2024 in our new Contemporary Classics Collection.
Products used: Sam McKnight Save The Do Blow Dry Style Starter and finished with Love Me Do Nourishing Oil.
2. Natural Wave Fringe.
Now curls, coil and wave textures are embraced with open arms, especially at the Neil Moodie Studio, we’ve been looking at ways to bring them into this coming season, and with the fringe making a big showing in recent trends, our Creative Stylist Molly created this version of the shag haircut but on her curly haired model.
With layers around the face and throughout the haircut, she then diffused the hair to give a natural feel and to not disturb the natural curls.
Products used: L'Oreal Curl Expression Caring Reviver Spray layered with 10-in-1 Cream in Mousse
3. Textured Waves.
Waves have been a big trend for a few years and they’re not going away. Our Creative Director Elpis added more layers around the face and more texture to the waves to make the look sexy and cool.
Diffuse your hair with some Pureology Mousse and then take a large GHD curling iron to create slightly stronger more defined waves.
Use your fingers to shake out the waves and add Sam McKnight Cool Girl Barely There Texture Mist throughout the roots and mid lengths.
4. Blunt Bob with Fringe.
Before cutting a shorter Sci-Fi version of this haircut our Creative Director Brixton cut a longer version of the same haircut first, for those who didn’t want to go so severe on the length of the bob.
Below chin length and blunt, this sharp bob haircut paired with a strong fringe makes for a bold and edgy statement hairstyle.
Products used: Pureology Color Fanatic 21 layered with Pureology Volume Mousse
5. Choppy Layers.
As a nod to the 90’s, our Creative Director Cat has revisited the Rachel haircut and given it a modern twist, with the length longer and the face framing layers shorter to give it a freer loose feel.
After colouring her model’s hair with micro lights and balayage Cat created the haircut then blow dried the hair with Pureology Color Fanatic 21 Spray layered with L'Oreal Pli.
Finally, she straightened the hair with new GHD Chronos Irons then finished off with GHD Shiny Ever After shine spray.
6. Bouncy Invisible Layers
Creative Stylist Molly also created a similar haircut on her model but instead of straightening it out she blow-dried the hair using a round bristle brush to give more volume and give the hair a more evening glamorous vibe
Products used: Pureology Light Volume Mousse
7. New Short Hair
Brixton cut his model's hair shorter into a modern take on the pixie and the mullet combined. Creating a flattering, soft short haircut for the winter months.
Products used : Sam Mcknight Dressed to Kill Wax
8. Natural Texture Embrace
Jarnelle cut and coloured the models hair with whispering long layers on Type 4 hair. The colour enhanced the defined curls.
Molly styled the hair with a centre parting, diffused the hair with a Dyson Supersonic hairdryer, then defined certain curls with a GHD Curve Thin Wand.
Products used TGIN Daily Moisturiser, Curl Bomb Styling Gel and GHD Shiny Ever After Shine Spray
9. High Shine.
High shine appeared at some shows for AW, so Neil took this Idea, ran with it and thought about how it could be incorporated into a more everyday look.
After cutting his model’s hair into a short Joan of Arc inspired haircut Neil set about adding Sam McKnight Love Me Do Oil to her curls so they would dry with high shine and texture.
Neil also did a recent revamp short haircut inspired by the 1930’s dapper men. After cutting, Neil blow dried the hair flat with a side parting and then applied the Sam McKnight Oil to the finished look to give it a high shine. The look was adorned with some accessories.

OUR AUTUMN COLOUR TRENDS
1. Platinum, Icy and Milky Blonde.
After the golden blonde of Barbie last year, this season we are stepping into a more bolder statement blonde, Platinum and Milky Blonde. This colour can still be sophisticated, if it has the right tone to it.
It can be achieved by either bleaching all over or for a slightly more subtle approach it can be achieved with many micro fine lights.

2. Romantic Autumn Reds.
Fiery reds were big in the 80’s and at the Neil Moodie Studio we’ve brought it back for this season to create a bold and captivating statement of modern glamour, with a touch of the Renaissance. Coppers and deep, bright auburns will come through to give drama to strong shaped haircuts.

3. Butterscotch Blonde
Cat created a warm, golden blonde hair colour with rich light caramel and honey undertones. It has a soft, sun-kissed appearance, adding shades of gold, and amber for a vibrant, multi-dimensional look to blonde hair. . The colour evokes the warmth and sweetness of butterscotch candy, adding depth and brightness to the hair.

OUR MEN'S AUTUMN SHORT HAIRCUTS
1 Our Senior Creative Director Valentina, took three classic mens short haircuts and created new modern shapes and textures.
Fringes and slick hair were given a new twist with softer edges instead of faded short on the sides and back, and more defined lines in slick hair to give a striking look to this bleached short hair.
